Catching Up Quick

May 20, 2008 / by nutcasenumbernine

So, I know it's been a few months since I've posted anything so thought I'd jot down what's been going on with me.

Started my summer class..... psychology. Takes up a lot of my time, studying and what-not

Just started a new job. Bartending in downtown Akron..... very fun

No man in my life. This is a good thing.

David is talking like he's 25 years old... he's 2

Excited about going to see Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and Journey at Blossom this summer.... 3 seperate concerts.

And uh.... Greg is still an asshole.

Now we're pretty much caught up. :)

Hey, #9 -- u left out ONE important fact -- ur looking REAL GOOD!  I know it must help with the tips in the bartender business -- our WingHouse bartenders are always very GOOD lookers & talented with bottles!  Showing a little cleavage helps too but that might attract bad boyz -well it attracts GOOD boyz like ME too, so u never know!  Good to hear from u again! U remember I was stationed at Wright-Patt where I shoulda dumped my ex- long before she bailed and ripped me off bigtime!

I used to teach college psychology and there IS a lot of reading and many terms to memorize the meanings of.  If u think something is really different, forget it during THIS class and learn it the way the book/prof say it is cause that's what will be on the tests! After u get a good grade u can think whatever u want, LOL! No matter what they did in HS, in COLLEGE, students HAVE to read the book for testable info!  What's the name & author of your textbook?

The name of the text is Exploring Psychology sixth edition in modules by David G. Myers. Very interesting you taught psych!! I just might be picking your brain!!

As for the good looking bartender thing.... yea it definately helps!

Take care of yourself.... have to get back to studying. :)

Hey, #9, thanks for the shout back!  I always heard Bartenders were "Practical Psychologists" anyway -- certainly, Therapists often!!  I don't have that text but there are an unbelieveable # of good, new General/Intro Psych texts on the market!  Feel free to pick my brain (or whatever) anytime u want! LOL  I'm sure the course will expand ur horizons in understanding the behavior of ur patrons (I DON'T mean just tequila-drinkers.)

The first course in psych is the "toughest," I think, cuz each chapter is a totally new subject -- some of it will bore u, but some of it will fascinate u!  If ALL of it fascinates u,. think about becoming a psych major.  But chat with me first cuz, altho psych  helps with EVERY career field, to WORK IN the field, u have to finish at least a Master's Degree.  If a Social Work major appeals too, it is more employable because SW advocates are more politically active in getting laws passed benefitting THEIR subfield of the profession.  9 Hugs for the #9 Bartender!

ha! unattached is the way to go in my opinion. i just got divorced about a year and a half ago... so a relationship sounds pretty scary to me.
